Craigslist is a great site but you also have to be cautious
Craigslist is a very convenient online classified ads and pretty much anybody can post their ads there. Some of these ads may just be a hoax, some are just made to entertain the poster while many are legitimate ads looking for buyers or sellers or perhaps looking for an online friend. In Craigslist, you can just buy and sell practically anything you can think of and it can be viewed worldwide. With its popularity and ease of use, it’s no longer shocking to find out that this site is also used by scammers so everyone should be cautious with all their dealings here.
When you buy something from Craigslist, it would be better to transact with the person personally too, if possible that you two could meet then the better but don’t go to the venue all alone especially if you’re a young woman. Many cases have been reported of rape or sabotage so an ounce of prevention is worth a lot.
Craigslist does not give any protection to its buyers and sellers so transact under your own discretion. It just paves the way for you to get connected so you need to be careful and transact as if you are transacting with a total stranger.
